The meeting coordinator Liss, Brenda allowed some of the audience to speak for 3 mints each one. Denise, Cole one of the audiences raise one big problem that the district of Newark public schools has. The school violence between the students is raising to be major problem in the district. “We don’t have to pretend that the district has no problems at all, our children get hurt every day, and we have to solve this problem right now.” Liss, Brenda said. In my opinion, I think the meeting is only held to address the student achievement end success and avoid discussing any problem at all except the COVID 19 problems.

  1. Mohamed,
Thanks for your report on the February Newark Public Schools Board of Education meeting.
I appreciated your including the comments of the parents and their concern for the violence that has been plaguing Malcom X Shabazz High School for months and months, without any seeming change (perhaps getting worse!).

What were your impressions of the meeting?
    Good job,
    Professor Knauer
